Subscriptions & Payment Methods
- Premium Memberships: Babelix offers Premium memberships on a monthly or quarterly (3‑month) basis. By subscribing, you gain access to exclusive features for the selected period. All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term unless you cancel them beforehand.
- Payment Platform: Payments are securely processed via Stripe, a trusted third‑party provider. You can pay with credit cards, debit cards, or other methods supported by Stripe. Babelix does not store your full card details; the transaction is handled by Stripe, adhering to its security protocols.
- Authorization to Charge: By subscribing, you authorize Babelix (and Stripe, as the payment processor) to charge the applicable subscription fee. The charge will occur at the start of the Premium period (after any free trial) and will be subsequently applied on each scheduled renewal date until you cancel your subscription. Suppose a payment is declined (for example, due to insufficient funds or outdated payment information). In that case, you may lose Premium access and be asked to provide a valid payment method to reactivate your subscription.
Free 3‑Day Trial Period
- Trial Availability: We offer a free 3‑day trial period for new users who subscribe to a Premium membership. This trial provides you with access to Babelix Premium features at no cost for the first three days, allowing you to evaluate the service. The trial period begins when you activate the Premium subscription with the trial option.
- Conversion to Paid Subscription: If you do not cancel within the 3‑day trial, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the third day. This means that on the fourth day, the fee for the selected Premium plan (monthly or quarterly) will be charged using the payment method you provided. The start date of your paid Premium period is considered to be the same moment the trial began, so the trial counts as part of the first billing cycle.
- Trial Limitations: Each user is limited to one free trial period. Attempting to obtain multiple trials by creating additional accounts or other methods violates our Terms of Service. Babelix reserves the right to cancel the trial or subscription of any user who abuses this policy.
Automatic Renewal & Subscription Cancellation
- Automatic Renewal: By default, Babelix Premium subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period (monthly or quarterly). This ensures you do not unexpectedly lose access to Premium features. The new period is charged automatically using the payment method on file in your account. We will notify you of any price changes before they take effect so you can decide whether to continue your membership. If you do not wish to continue, please cancel in advance (see the cancellation section below).
- Cancel Anytime: You may cancel your subscription at any time, without penalty, through your account settings. You can disable auto-renewal in the “Payment” or “Subscription” section of your Babelix profile. Once disabled, no further charges will be made, and your subscription will not renew at the end of the current billing cycle. Please note that deleting your Babelix profile or uninstalling the app (if applicable) does not automatically cancel your subscription; you must follow the cancellation steps in your account. You can contact our support team for assistance with cancellations if you encounter any difficulties.
- Effect of Cancellation: After canceling your Premium subscription, you will retain access to Premium features until the end of the paid period. For example, if your monthly subscription renews on the 1st of each month and you cancel on the 15th, you will retain Premium benefits through the 30th or 31st (depending on the month) until the paid cycle ends. After that date, your account will revert to the standard free tier with no access to exclusive Premium features. Cancellation only stops future charges; it does not automatically trigger a refund for the remaining time in your current period (unless you qualify for a refund, as explained below).
- Reactivation: If you cancel auto‑renewal but change your mind before your current paid period ends, you can reactivate the subscription (while the period is still active) from the same settings section. Otherwise, once the period expires, you will need to resubscribe to regain Premium access. You may lose any promotional pricing if you unsubscribe and resubscribe later.
Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances can change. Therefore, Babelix offers a limited refund policy in certain situations, striking a balance between user satisfaction and legal requirements. Below are the conditions under which you may request a refund and the cases where refunds do not apply:
- Refund for cancellation within the initial period:
If you are a new Premium user and decide that the subscription is not what you expected, you may request a full refund of your membership within the first 4 days after the start of your Premium plan. This equates to up to day 7 from the beginning of your Premium period, including the 3‑day free trial. In practical terms, if you activated the trial on the 1st of the month, you can request a full refund until the 7th. This initial refund covers both the subscription fee and any related charges and immediately cancels your Premium access (after the refund, your account reverts to the free tier). No refunds will be issued for voluntary cancellations made after the 4-day window from the start of your Premium plan (i.e., after day 7, since your initial Premium period began). This includes cases where you forget to cancel before automatic renewal: once a new cycle has begun and been charged, that payment is final for the corresponding period. We do not offer prorated refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods. For example, if you have a quarterly subscription and cancel halfway through the quarter, you will not receive a prorated refund for the remaining months. You will retain access until the quarter ends, but the unused time will not be refunded. - Refunds on renewals: Automatic subscription renewals are non‑refundable. If users do not wish to continue, they are responsible for managing cancellation before the renewal date. If your subscription auto‑renewed and the initial grace period has passed, we cannot issue a refund for that renewal. We recommend marking your renewal date on your calendar, enabling reminders, and canceling in advance.
- Legal exceptions: Generally, our sales are final after the trial period and initial refund window. Nevertheless, Babelix will comply with any refund obligations required by applicable law. - Fraud or unauthorized payments: If you detect an unauthorized charge on your account (e.g., a payment you do not recognize), immediately notify Babelix and your bank. We will investigate the matter; if we confirm fraudulent use of your payment method or a billing error on our part, we will issue the appropriate refund at no cost to you.
- Expelled or blocked users: If Babelix suspends or terminates your account due to a violation of our Terms of Service, community guidelines, or other policies (e.g., misconduct, fraud, misuse, or posting prohibited content), you will not be entitled to a refund for any subscriptions or purchases made. This measure prevents abuse by users who break the platform’s rules. Likewise, we do not refund charges to users who are blocked for providing false payment information, filing unfounded charge disputes, or engaging in other illicit activities.

Yes. Suppose you wish to change your subscription type (from monthly to quarterly to benefit from a lower per‑month rate). In that case, you can cancel the auto‑renewal of your current plan and then subscribe to the new one once your current period ends. We do not offer automatic mid-cycle plan conversions; the change occurs when your paid period concludes. - What happens if I update my payment method?
